Meet Phoebe who hails from Maggie Valley NC.  Phoebe is an IT mix who found her way to us – she was in a small rural shelter whose staff became her champion.  WFTRM had rescued a wire from there recently and so, with their help and support Phoebe found her way to the best foster mom around – Sharon who was fully intending to become a failed foster but health issues got in the way.

Phoebe is a delightful pup with a great personality.  She is smart, loving, and loyal to a fault.  Phoebe has learned to counter surf so not much is safe (that is why we are sure there is Irish Terrier in the mix).  Phoebe loves walks and will put her head through the loop of the slip lead by herself in anticipation.  Obedience training will be a must.  She will sit on command and wants to please.  Phoebe saves her voice for when it is necessary – she is a quiet girt.  Phoebe makes friends easily although a little hesitant with new people and things but her curiosity wins out.  And she loves other dogs.  Phoebe is steadfastly opposed to crate time and much prefers snuggling in bed with her foster mom.
