Red and Roja – New Mexico – Adopted

UPDATE – Red and Roja have been adopted together….

Meet Red and Roja  located in  Taos, NM.  This duo is a bonded pair – Red is 6 years old and Roja is 4.  Roja is the extrovert of the two and has tail wags for everyone.  Red is reserved and has not enjoyed his time in the shelter.  He is persnickety about having his head and mouth touched.  Both are house trained and seem to like car rides.  Both dogs like their space when being fed so a separate and consistent feeding plan will be necessary.   We need a quiet, caring, and IT experienced foster home/permanent for this special couple so that they can settle into being loved family pets again.  Their back story is a sad tale – they lost their owner due to illness – we continue to learn more about their personalities every day.  ITRN wants to thank Stray Hearts Animal Shelter and their staff who have been taking great care of Red and Roja. Special gratitude to Sherri Perry at A Cut Above Grooming in Taos for making them look so beautiful and for connecting ITRN with Stray Hearts to make this new beginning possible.

If their story and photos have touched your heart and you can make a commitment of love, time, patience, and gentle consistency to Red and Roja, please complete our adoption application

Red show his playful side with the encouragement of caring staff at Stray Hearts.
